Nathan previously worked at social enterprise Jigsaw. Nathan has successfully transitioned to work part time at Bunnings in the garden and returns section.
Nathan recently participated in the financial wellbeing program with EK, Melbourne’s Jigsaw Zone Manager. EK explains that Nathan found the training very useful. Nathan was due to exit Jigsaw but stayed on a couple of weeks extra just to finish the financial wellbeing program as he was getting so much out of it. Nathan stated the most useful things that he learned were “How to pay bills and save money”.
Nathan was asked if the program has made a difference in his life?
“It made a difference teaching me not to spend too much money if I want to save for something.
When asked what the biggest financial win has been since completing the training, Nathan replied “I have been getting paid every two weeks. I was able to buy the learners book because I want to get my learners licence soon”.
The program has enabled Jigsaw staff to be trained to deliver the program, equip them with knowledge, skills and confidence and ultimately create opportunities for more employees to access the training. Jigsaw’s Partnership Manager, Vicki McFadden is pleased with the collaboration between White Box Enterprises and Jigsaw Australia.
“From my perspective the program is awesome and just what some of our trainees needed to be able to independently live their best life - thank you!”.
